What breed is this?

So i just found out that the breeder has blue black copper marans as well as the jubilees. Think a maran roo got to one of the jubilee girls? Does the color genetics fit?

Maybe, but I'd expect some leg feathering if they were Marans crossed. A Copper Marans cross could explain the pattern though.
The french marans have leg feathers but some american breeds do not. But with the white legs they could have taken the orpington trate on leg feathers too. I agree it does explain the colors and pattern. Just wish i had a girl that looked like them too. Maybe ill try to breed some in at some point.

Very true and I considered that. But I just assumed if she is breeding Jubilee English Orpingtons. She surely was breeding French "type" Marans. No way to know for sure as she won't admit or even speculate to the breeding. But they got blue genes from somewhere and their shape is a little off for English Orpingtons at this age.

I also noticed today that one of the cross boys has feathers on his legs. I think it is confimed. Maran roo with a jubilee hen. She also sold me all 6 boys. Im furious beyond comprehension. Never would i ever do something like this to anyone.
