What breed is this??

Can someone please advise on what breed this is? She was supposed to be a SLW, which she obviously is not!, and had a beautiful painted face as a chick. She is now about 17/18 weeks old From looking at pics, I was thinking either BA or Black Wyandotte. Anyone??

Black Australorp or Jersey Giant. Wyandottes (as far as I know) have all yellow legs and feet.


Check the bottoms of her feet. Pink=BA, yellow=JG. She's a beauty!

She could be a Marans. Check the color of the bottom of her feet. I think pink is Marans and yellow is Australorp...or its the other way around.

Looking forward to mucho eggs and already lost one hen! (well, not really lost, just that one is a roo!). I always did think it would be nice to have a Jersey at some point. She is a little bigger than my other pullets, but only a smidge, so hopefully, she will not have yellow feet!!

I think she is one of the prettiest in my flock, and has a very fun personality.

I might have langshan on the brain, but that's what she looks like to me.


Here are ours a few weeks ago, but mine are mixed (at least most are) but they have that greenish tinge that yours seems to have.

I believe that langshans have feathered legs----at least the one I got from Ideal did.

Looks like Langshans are out. Not a trace of feathering on her legs.
