Now I have to wonder if mine that looks like the one above is what was stated at the hatchery. I appreciate the info. I just started raising Ameraucanas and the only other chick that I have that is anywhere near the same coloring would be one of my Speckled Sussex. Not that it matters much to me now. I will enjoy it no matter the breed...

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if your ameraucana's came from a hatchery then its an ee....you will have to buy from an actual breeder to get pure ameraucana's and on top of that you need to really do research on the breed to make sure you are getting pure ameraucana's and also ask the breeder lots of questions such as what colors they breed, do they keep their colors apart, were their stock came from, ect...im looking for bantam ameraucana's

Thank you everyone. I am happy to know that what I have is a Partridge Rock. anyone have a guess as to if it's a pullet or roo. this little one belongs to my daughter so I would like to warn her if people think it's a roo as we can't keep roo's

Thanks for the advice. I would hate to say they are something they are not. I will definately research some more. I would like to have some pure Ameraucanas eventually. For now I will keep with the Easter Eggers. Thanks again!
Looking at this more closely I can see more differences between mine and the one above.
