They sold it to me as an aracauna is that the same as an easter egger

Hatcheries and feed stores don't carry pure Araucana or Ameraucana. The have Easter Eggers, not a true breed at all.

Will it still lay the colored eggs

It might lay blue, green, or shades of brown. No way to know until she actually lays one. You are only guaranteed blue from a pure Araucana or Ameraucana. The only reliable source for those is a breeder that actually shows their birds and breeds to the standard.
