So I got an incubator and hatched out a bunch of polish crosses. I have some purebred polish chicks, some sultan/polish, some bantam Hamburg/polish, some Americauna/polish, and others. Well a few days after I got the eggs in the bator a hen went broody. She was sitting on a nice clutch of eggs but one day the temp spiked here to 98 and I think a bunch of eggs died.... Annnnyway I went in the coop this morning to find a dead chick in the brooder box and I went to pick it up and it moved a bit and I realized it was just extremely cold and it's mother left it behind. I warmed it up quick (it's 1 day old) and its awake alert and totally normal now! But here's the thing. I have no idea what it is. It looks like a purebred silver laced polish. But then I looked at its legs and it had feathered legs but only 4 toes? Plus all of my sultan/polish are white with 5 toes. I mean my cousin who lives at my house has a separate coop with a rooster with feathered feet but this rooster is only 2 months old.... Plus I've never even seen my polish hen over there. Any ideas?

If it's a cross, you can expect a number of traits. It'll look like a Polish, and feathered legs is a dominant trait.

No my issue is idk where the feathers came from. I know it's a dominant trait my only feather footed bird in my flock is a sultan and it was not a sultan cross. I already figured it out though. My cousin doesn't pay any attention, her rooster who is very mature doe have feathered feet and a black body so it's a polish crosses with a barnyard mix bantam cross

All right, that makes sense.
