What breed is your favorite rooster?

I want to add another rooster to my flock, which breed is your favorite? We have had good luck with the roosters we have had, they have been very friendly and calm. So I am looking for something that is nice like they were, but think that maybe I would like to try a different breed also. I bought a RIR chick at the feed store that is a cockerel, but since buying him, have found out they are not that friendly. So he may end up being dinner someday.

I hear Polish are really docile roos. I'm getting one of those for sure! My fav so far from my flock is my cochin cuz he's the only one I have lol AND he's only 4 weeks old too.

Admittedly I have limited experience with roosters, but my light brahma roo is my favorite. He's fiesty, but not mean. I don't care much for my dark brahma roo. I don't like his coloring, but that's an individual thing. He's just not very freindly and he doesn't get along all that well with the other chickens.

My Millie Fluer D'uccle roo is very nice and my bantam Salmon Faverolle roo is very nice too!!

Since I go for protective and somewhat aggresive to guard my flock, I like the golden laced wyandotte. My dude is totally tough, and mean to most. Hes will roll over on his back and fall asleep with me though. He will never ever ever be anywhere else but with my family! I love him to death! I also like jersey giant roos.

Love the Orpingtons. Both of my full grow roosters are good with my 2 1/2 year old and get along with other roosters pretty good.

Buff Orpington, I adore my roo! He's great watching the girls and is a big, spoiled, doted on baby otherwise. He announces anyone/anything that comes into the yard that's not supposed to be there and feeds the girls treats/bugs first before he takes any for himself.

I have several roos, but my favorite would have to be my Standard Cochin roos: Sampson and Adonis. They are the sweetest birds I have ever had.
