Agreed, especially the strains of White Leghorns that are used in laying houses (for white eggs) and Black and Red Sex Links (used by the laying houses for brown eggs). White Leghorns and Sex Links (both Black and Red varieties) are both egg laying machines, consistently churning out more than 300 large eggs per hen per year.
