What breed / mix?

I bought this mix chick over the weekend. The lady wasn't sure what breeds it was a mix of. It's the black chick, it is feather footed.

Looks like a Cochin to me.

Hard to say. Could be Australorp/Cochin or just about anything with feathered legs. Looks like a rooster chick, though.

Feathers on dark feet usually mean Langshan. But the chick could have inherited the dark shanks from the other parent. Cochins and Langshans don't have such large combs at that age either. So, I think there is a lot of the non-feathered parent in this one.
