I have no idea what breed this little birchen bantam rooster is. He has feathered feet, as does the little hen (she's hiding behind him - I tried repeatedly to get a picture of her but she just wasn't having it).

I've tried looking up pictures of bantam breeds that have both feathered feet and rose comb (or is that a pea comb?), but haven't seen anything that looks like him. So is he more than likely just a mix of some sort? These two are smaller than Silkies, and the little hen's eggs are creamy white and almost round (rather than oval) and noticeably smaller than Silkie eggs as well.

Looks like a Birchen Cochin to me. His comb appears to have been damaged by frostbite or fighting, though, so it doesn't look like any real comb type.

What does the hens comb look like? He looks like a cochin who's comb got messed up by frost bite or something. Could you get a better picture of his comb?

Her comb is practically non-existent. I'll try, but I don't know if I can get another pic any time soon or not as these are not mine; I just received some hatching eggs out of them. The owner just referred to them as Birchens, but isn't Birchen a feather colouring/pattern rather than a breed? The owner doesn't let the poultry run together and keeps them separated by breed/variety in individual pens to prevent any cross breeding. And while there were some breeds I didn't know, every breed/variety that I did recognize looked true to type...the Cochins, Polish, Silkies (bearded separated from non-bearded), Mille Fleur, Wyandottes, Turkens, etc. (and the breeds were then separated by colour), so I'd be surprised if he's a mixed breed. In saying that, I've been looking up every "Birchen" bantam with feathered legs and came up empty, however just a little while ago I ran across some pics of Dark Brahma Bantams, and now I'm wondering if that's not what he is...

Dark brahmas have a silver triangle on the wing tips [the pattern is called 'duckwing'] so he is not that. Also the hens are much lighter and have penciling. He could be a cochin bantam with a damaged comb though.
