The bird on the cover is a Red Sex Link. Easy way to tell if you’re looking at a Red Sex Link or pure red breed is to look at the fluffy feathers. Pure breed red birds have totally red down feathers, Red Sex Links will have white down on the area above where the feather attaches to the skin.

Thanks for the tip! I've never personally owned any SLs, and therefore nothing about them.
