Sorry, comb seems more common in that form and I've never seen one with feathered feet![]()
If I bred my brahma to my araucana cockerel (which I might) I'd get an easter egger... a mix with the intention of having colored eggs...

So an EE is any mixed breed with colored eggs? Or am I misunderstanding. If I bred my brahma to my araucana cockerel (which I might) I'd get an easter egger... a mix with the intention of having colored eggs...

Just a question... How is an Ameraucana (what I have) and an EE different (I also ave EE's)Yes. The EE you buy from a hatchery are probably ee bred to ee for generations, with an extra ameraucana or cream crested legbar thown in occasionally to refresh the blue egg gene. But otherwise, yes... its a hybrid or a cross made to lay colored eggs.

No, I got her from a breeder, I don't buy hatchery birds.I hate to have to ask this question, but where did you get your ameraucana?
Is she from a hatchery? if so, she's probably an ee. Hatcheries sell ameraucana, misspelled as 'amerIcana' all the time and pass them off as pure breeds. Unfortunately, it works... and then people then breed those together and sell them as ameraucana and unknowingly propagate the misconception.
You have to be very careful about where you get your ameraucana, and make sure they follow the breed standards.
I am sure she is an ameraucana because she has a standard coloring of black with orange stripes with a puffy face (not very) She breeds her own chickens and gets them off other people.I hate to have to ask this question, but where did you get your ameraucana?
