Hi, I need help deciding what breed of birds this pullet and roo are. I thought black copper marans but they don't have any copper, only gray really. Let me know what you think! I don't need help with the cuckoo marans or barred rock, unless you can tell me definitively what she is. She has clean slate legs so I think Cuckoo but I've heard barred rock too.

Bottom of foot color is needed, but they look to be Blue Marans rather than blue copper, but the copper color can develop with age. I can definitively tell you that your bird is a Barred Rock. Her legs are not slate. Slate by definition is a very dark grey color when it comes to leg color. Slate legs never occur in yellow skinned birds. Her legs are yellow with a dark wash. Marans would be pink with a dark wash. This dark wash is sex linked and is often used to differentiate young pullets from cockerels. My Barred Rock Bantam pictured is a bit faded from laying but her legs had the dark wash. It would be more unusual if her legs lacked the dark wash :)

Maybe a lavender orpington?Do you know if they are bantams or where you got them from?
I don't think they're bantams, they're the biggest birds I have and I have a few different kinds. They don't seem to have any copper just gray and more gray besides the couple white feathers they have on their wings. I got them from a feed store and it is my first flock so I didn't even write them down. I'm kicking myself because it didn't matter in the heat of the moment but now, after becoming obsessed with my chickens, like a crazy bird lady, I really want to know! I didn't know chicken keeping could be so addictive.
