What breed of chickens are these?

What conflicting responses..

First off, where did you get them? If from a hatchery, they are just production reds. True RIR can not be purchased at a hatchery from what I've heard. These do not fit into the RIR standard, and I spot a white feather in there.

I beg to differ with everyone else. Those are New Hampshire Reds. They are a cross with RIR and something else that escapes me. I currently have both breeds and my RIR's are not nearly as dark red. Good layers with large brown eggs.

I have new hampshire reds as well and they are not nearly as dark. In fact, the NH red is well known for being a lighter color than the Rhode Islands.
