WHAT BREED OF HENS SHOULD I GET???

I am currently not able to keep up on the amount of eggs that I get from my chickens compared to the amount I need to have to be able to sell to everyone. I want to get more chickens that are all different breeds that lay cool colored eggs, but I still need to get enough eggs to be able to keep up on selling them. When I say cool colors, I mean like the pinks, greens, blues, and white egg laying chickens! Suggestions wanted!!

Easter Eggers, Americauna, Olive Egger.

From my experience, Easter eggers are very productive birds and will consistently lay green eggs.

Unfortunately most colored layers aren't super productive.

Leghorns however are white layers and do well productionwise

My California White is a MACHINE for producing 65g white eggs almost every day even in her second year.

If you are looking for production, I recommend an Orpington, no matter what color.

I must have hit the jackpot then - my 2 easter eggers are my best layers! Start back up in the spring the earliest and lay almost every day. Their attitude sucks though, but as long as they keep laying like this, they get to stay!

Easter eggers are mutts, so they can be hit or miss depending on what was mixed in

Mine are my best layers too, but they're competing against some more decorative breeds that aren't known for laying. I don't have any high production birds so it makes the EEs and OE look like champs.

I'm also a fan of Easter Eggers, not only because their eggs are beautiful and they lay a decent amount each year, but because they've been the healthiest compared to other breeds I've had. My Orpingtons died at two years old. My EEs are still laying at 6 years old.
