Is it possible that he could be a Silver Birchen Marans??? I'm just guessing... don't know much about marans but I saw a pic of one that looked like that.

I googled it and he looks similar! I don't know anything about the animal though, any other thoughts??

I would assume mutt is most likely. He could even be the result of two mutts mating, so it's hard to get any parentage out of him.

Because of his unknown genes, hard to say if his babies will be good eggers or meaties. His stockiness makes me think he'd produce some fine eaters, but this isn't my area.

I think 'friendly' is a good place to start.
