She's a fine looking New Hampshire hen.
Chris09, now that's what I call a real Rhode Island Red.
He shows the horizontal brick shaped body, long flat back, dark mahogany red body color, and the black and beetle-green sheen in the tail feathers. Just like they're s'possed to.
Beautiful Roo.
Cuban, I got a mix up from a hatchery once but it wasn't anywhere as exotic as your surprise.
I ended up with a Dominique pullet instead of one in a batch of Barred Rock pullets, which I gratefully accepted, as a dom. pullet cost a bit more and I've always wanted some but could never talk myself into buying a lot full. per orders from hatcherys. Very strange looking cross. I'd guess the five toes and the whatever comb could be of Faverolles maybe, Cuckoo Marans for the barring, some type silkie for the crest and some more comb shape, and my gosh I'll throw some sort of game off in the mix just for good measure.
How's them apples for ya.
