What breed - RIR / New Hampshire Red? (new pic below)

Its a new hamp. It looks exactly like my purebreed new hamps.

well, i suspect New Hampshires aren't too close to the original breed. This is a fine looking hen, but she has a number of things not true to the breed especially the white ear lobe. most all red hens from hatcheries have some amount of production in them which often shows up as white ear lobes.

Thats a mixed breed more than likely. Looks like across between new ham and black austalorp. She should lay very well for you.
