he's a very sweet, docile little fella, and takes good care of his hens I'd just like to know what kind he is? And since he's on the smaller side, will his offspring be more likely to be small like him? Or big like their mom?

Looks like a Porcelain Booted Bantam! I bet his offspring will be somewhere in the middle

Mixed. Could have booted bantam in him but they have a more pronounced chest, curved back, fluffy cheeks and heavier feathered feet.
