Good evening, all!

I am preparing yet another poultry order, and this time I’m trying to focus more on birds that (tend to) lay the largest eggs. I currently have white leghorns, whose eggs have came a long way from the beginning, as well as Cochins and cuckoo marans. At the moment, I have some black Australorps, red sex-links, and gold sex-links coming in, but do you guys have any other recommendations?

Thanks!

I’m really considering these breeds, especially the RIR and Easter eggers!
You’ll love them! My reds are so sweet! Excuse the dirt (it’s been raining) from left to right it goes Rhode Island red buff Orpington Easter Egger. Picture doesn’t do them size justice but my reds eggs are so large I can’t close the carton!

For big eggs? Leghorns, sexlinks (any) will give you jumbo. My ees eggs range from medium to large, a few hit jumbo but not many. Most egg focused heritage or hatchery DP will give you large (not jumbo) eggs. Australorps lay large eggs but also lay a lot of em which is nice.

I understand the dirt...we’ve received 5.5” overnight so mine looked the same! And that egg on the far left looks huge; perhaps that’s the RIR (a couple years old maybe)?
