What Breed Should I Get?

Pics
Yeah we started with a few thinking only so many... Now we have 15, soon to be 21. And somehow thoughts of more down the line 😂. But right now, that will almost max my coop out. Getting the ducklings hasn't quiet hit me yet, but I am sure it will when we get the shipping notification. Time seems to fly by and I am shocked that it is only 2 weeks away.

If you get muscovy, I would really suggest getting more than one. They are a very different duck than the mallard breeds. They have a total different language. They get along and hang out together sometimes, but I have two flocks.
What do you think how many Muscovy ducks would be the minimum? I have 39 mallard-breeds and maybe room for 4-5 Muscovy girls. No Muscovy drakes, they'd flatten a Runner Duck.

If you teach biology, they can be a subject. Look at cute ducklings. Actually, I think you can work them into any class. Math, teach them duck and chicken math! English, write about my ducklings.
I teach a few things...

12 grade AVID (a college prep elective): Research a current issue about ducks related to your major; take focused notes; develop a list of open-ended research questions based on your reading; participate in a Socratic Seminar regarding your current event; write a 2-page reflection in which you summarize your findings and synthesize it with your peers' research findings

American Literature: Locate an example of ducks as represented in a work of fiction from the Modern Age and discuss at least three ways ducks have impacted American culture

English 9: Read 3 folktales from different countries of origin in which ducks play a significant role; write an essay in which you discuss what you can infer about the values of each culture represented through their literary treatment of ducks

😂 🤣 😂 😂 😂 🤣
