I would just tell them no & keep her. Obviously they don’t have an emotional attachment and your son does. They sold her to you and she isn’t a rare or exotic breed that is extremely valuable. What makes her valuable to you is your son’s attachment to her. Tell them that she is your son’s pet and that makes her priceless in your eyes. :)

Agree. I’m just happy my opinion matches others. Like I said I don’t need any trouble with my local community. Were new to the area and chickens. We don’t need drama.
 
The short version... we’ve had this gal for MONTHS. She’s a family favorite. The breeders daughter sold us the chickens, she was not suppose to sell this one. Our info was recently located and they want her back. Is there a chicken code where we should? There is a 9 year old involved. This gal is very docile and good natured.
beats me why they'd want that back. no praticular breed in particular. Looks like your average easter egger.

just tell the breeder to buzz off
