We have figured out what we think most of our month old chickens are but this one has us stumped.

Where did you get the chicks? If they're from a feed store, do you know which hatchery they use?

She is from Meyer Hatchery. I have been scrolling through the website but I can't figure her out.

Looking at what they offer for crested breeds I only see Polish and Sultan. No idea what it is; think you'll need to let it grow out more to see what it's final feather color will be.

The only guess I can come up with is MAYBE a Swedish Flower Hen (name of the breed, not necessarily a female).

She has a single comb, yellow legs, yellow beak, that interesting coloring you can see in the photo, and a little puff of black feathers that stands up on her head. She did not have the little pom pom on top that I have seen in polish chicks and her little puff isn't very big.

Which is why I think SFH. They have small crests, and your chick does not look like a polish, or any other LARGE crested birds.

Thanks. I'll look that one up and keep an eye on her (hopefully) growth.

Could it be a cream legbar?? I got one of those 5 weeks ago. The color is a bit different from what I have, but from a hatchery that's just how it goes
