So, I got a dog 2 1/2 years ago. They said it was a German shepherd and lab mix, I looked it up and he is 50 lbs. to heavy! Any ideas on breed? I was thinking Kangal or Anatolian Lab mix. I saw is mom nursing him and she was a lab, so it is really the father I am looking for. Encase it helps he weighs ~130 lbs, and is 30 inches at the shoulder. Here are some pix of him.
Thanks in advance!

I have a dog that looks very similar. His name is Hiss Dawg.
He is black lab, Rottweiler, German Shepard and some husky.
He's given us chocolate labs, golden labs, of course black and a Huge Rottweiler pup. Mom is husky, Shepard and lab so we got some husky pups too. Gorgeous Boy!! Hoss and Willow 💜

Hoss Dawg...not Hiss! Lol

Yeah, we want to do a DNA test but they are kinds expensive, and I just have to prioritize money right now. I was kinds hoping there was a dog expert that can give me some idea about his breed. Mainly because some breeds can grow into there third year and if he is one of those...oh boy he would be massive!

That musculature and blocky head makes me think English Mastiff, I also see some loose skin at the withers. From what I see in the photos it looks like he has a thick neck, which could come from Rottweiler heritage, but his chest doesn’t look deep enough for a Rott to me.The issue is those rose ears that I’ve personally never seen in a dog unless they have a breed with rose ears contributing. Color usually doesn’t factor in breed, especially black since it is so common in dogs. Definitely agree with others in that you can’t be certain without a DNA test, but it’s worth a guess.
