I have a couple books on chicken breeds of Europe (assuming your friend is also in Ireland). I'll look into it later this afternoon to see if it's something that US poultry keepers may not be familiar with. The leg color looks wrong for an Isbar

The skin color looks yellow to me personally and both of those breeds have white skin

Oh yeah your right. Hard to see though in this picture though. @lulubell15 do you have any other pictures that show his feet a bit more.

Got another photo.. he has yellowy pink legs with a few dark grey/black scales just before the feet. Sunshine makes them look paler than they are.

hmm, it looks like pink legs to me. Ive had a maran before with slightly yellow legs, but the majority is still pink. Im gonna stick to either a blue birchen maran or an Isbar.
