I’m curious to see what breed my hens are. They are a year old. Some say it’s Delaware or columbian rock but I want your opinion too.

Look very much like my adopted/inherited gals so popping in to see your consensus.

I was told my chickens were Columbian Wyandottes by the prior owners but that they ain’t. Most likely sourced from TSC/Hoover. Where were yours from?

They could be Columbian wyandottes. They have the right leg color and patterning. I’ve gotten wyandottes from hovers and 2/3 of them had single combs rather than rose combs. Or it could be a Columbian Plymouth Rock.

Just popping back in with a recent tidbit I noticed. Hoover's hatchery supplies both TSC and Rural King in my area. Since their website doesn't list Columbian Rock I was unsure that's what I had. However, last time I was at RK they had a bin labeled "Columbian Rock Hybrid." I wish I was close enough to read the whole text because I can't find anything online. I'm now convinced my gals are at least half or more Rock. Hope this helps!
