What breed?

This is a hen I bought last Spring. She was sold as a dominique but she doesn't look like the other dominiques I have. She has a single comb and I posted a pic of her legs so you can see the color.

She looks kinda small in the picture but she is almost as big as my BO's.

Cuckoo Marans hen, and if you are getting some fairly dark brown eggs then this would be the culprit.

I agree with Cuckoo Marans if the eggs are darker than the others, but I have also been told that a barred rocks legs will get washed out when they are laying and will look white, as mine does, but I know mine's a BR. As were her parents... And her mommas legs got paler also as she laid. Daddy's of course stayed yellow since he doesn't have much of anything burning up his nutrients.

And it is a pullet... Her comb/wattles aren't big enough to be a male at her age.
