What Breed?

Ordered the rainbow layer assortment from MMH and am very pleased! There is one that has me baffled as to what breed it might be. Anyone have any thoughts??

Maybe a Partridge Plymouth Rock?

I thought that at first, but the feathers are barred not laced.

It looks like a hatchery grade Welsummer pullet, which would make since in MMH's rainbow layer packet, since Welsummers lay chocolate eggs and they are often included in the rainbow layer packet.

I'm thinking partridge Rock. What you're seeing isn't true barring, it's just a stage of juvenile plumage. My partridge Rocks are 4 months old and the most developed one is just now getting a more laced look from the barred look.
