What breeds are best to sell hatching eggs with

ok deerman thank you for that. I actually really like many of the game breeds so that may be another option. I still really like ameraucana's and i would also love to get silkies and sell hatching eggs. People in my area would buy silkie chicks and eggs in a heartbeat. Right now on craigslist there is 3 ads wanting silkie chicks. I had one silkie and i LOVED her but sadly she died of a tumor about 3 months ago

I haven't found a great demand for hatching eggs in my area, but I do put them on Craigslist for $5/dozen, 2 or more for $4/dozen. I've sold 6 dozen this year so far, and I'm sure I'll sell more when it warms up. But mine aren't any specific breed, just mixes. I tried to see about selling eggs on eBay, and I made two test shipments to friends in different parts of the country and had poor results, so I didn't go further.

Once I get my setup going, I may be able to separate some of the chickens and get some pure breeds. But right now I'm just not easily able to do it, and I don't see the demand for it here, anyway.

I am going to do Delewares and rocks as they are similar I know they aren't the highest priced chicks or birds but they do seem to sell alot especially barred rocks around here.Got mine from hatcherys only bought one roo but ended up with 2 others somehow guess the ones I got from tractor supply hatchery messed up or maybe there employees mixed some bought some nice birds from meyer hatchery. The barred rock may go as I only want to keep 2 roosters and my barred which I just notice as a rooster has green in his tail and a couple brown specks in his neck barely noticeable but thinking he maybe a mix which I wouldn't think he would be but is somehow.Let me know if anyone has see this in a pure breed if so it's prolly not a desirable trait for a breeder.
