My picks:

Egg production--Red Star/comet 5+ eggs per week (mine work weekends

)

Pet---Red star/comet- inquisitive, friendly and active- like to be in your bizniz.

but brahmas are supposed to be great for people with toddlers, so I read- I'm getting a light Brahma chick this weekend (Yippeee- I can tell you what I think when it grows up!)

Mothering---silkie's I hear even the roos will care for the chicks and 'mother the chicks'. how sweet!

Meat---------------?Jumbo cornish rocks? I cant remember what my parents had...

Dual Purpose----rocks, orpingtons, delawares

Overall---Don't have a big enough flock yet to decide

egg production would be any sex link
all other would be plymouth rocks and they are a good challange for the eggs too. problem with sex links they burn out after 2 years Rocks on the other hand will lay much longer even if missing a day or two as they get older.
