I just picked up two ducks from some guy who was giving them away. A breeding pair that hatch their own eggs. He had them over a year and didn't have a clue what they were.
The dark one is a male, and I believe he is a Cayuga mix. His head and neck are a deep green, the rest of him is black, except for under the wings which is blue. He has the curled sex feathers.
The brownish one is female, has some white and laid a chicken sized egg yesterday which was whitish yellowish.
The white ducks are 6 week old pekins for reference.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
