but she looks like a cross to me. no ideas what could have made her though... did you hatch them?

I like your birds.I think they are crosses.Roo is Orpington cross because of white legs-New Hampshire is yelow leged.

I knew that they were pretty much "Heinz 57" when I got them, but I don't care, I love them anyway! Another friend wants to use my roo as a "stud rooster", because she thinks he has some Buff Orp in him, and she really likes the Orps, but I thought I would tap the collective wisdom of the forum to satisfy my own curiosity!

PS: I'm kind of concerned about hiring Garfunkel out to stud, because I don't want to introduce pests and disease into my little flock. Any thoughts?

She is quite lovely, and she has a delightful personality--sweet, independent, quirky. As a chick, she was completely white, but she developed the brown coloring as she got older.
