I hatched this guy out myself and have had an attatchment to him since he was first out of his egg. I also was sure he was a rooster, hence we will end up having to butcher him. None the less he is a wonderful boy and I happened to get a little pullet from my last hatch that looks simaler. DH loves him too and wants more that color. We can't figure out what mix made him though.
Here he is
The possible dads are
1.Light brahma rooster- But all the other babies I know are his don't have single combs and have feathered feet
2.Silver Laced Cochin Rooster- Again with the feathered feet?
3.RIR rooster
4.Silver Spangled Hamburg Rooster- He is at the bottom of the pecking order and seems like the dad was probably bigger.
For hens we have alot
Cochins-SL,Black and splash, Dark Brahma, EE's, Barred Rocks ( I was thinking these but still don't know the rooster!) White Wyandotte, Silkie,Black star, BR crossed with EE, WFBSpanish , Salmon Faverolles.
He is a big boy he has always been big. Bigger then our other chicks. Bulky and he has always been very friendly.
The pullet looks very simaller which seems odd to me since the barring seems to be sex linked.
