Reddit pretty decent because you can make a one off account, and even delete it afterward.

I'd probably try to make as generic sounding of an ad as possible. You can always clarify in person about how good this breeding stock actually is, and hopefully meet in public away from your home.

Maybe he will be made food, but hopefully he'll find an appreciative person. They really are lovely looking and I'm not the biggest fan of barred breeds.

Thanks for the info! I didn't originally love BRs either before I had them, but they proved they were a worthy farm breed with laying prowess and friendly personalities and I've had them ever since my first two hatchery hens in 2005, even had two other breeder lines whose names many would immediately recognize. These boys are so far not at all aggressive, not even a nip. I go in and out of their pen without any fear of a sneak attack. Naturally, youngsters will mature and change a lot in the next six months, but the breeder told me he refuses to keep mean birds, same as I do and temperament is generally heritable. I'll check into Reddit, thanks again.

These are still available. If you are not wholly into Barred Rocks, you can make your own barred Easter Eggers by crossing these guys over any Ameraucana or Easter Egger hen. I've had blue barred EEs and they are gorgeous! Young, energetic flock protectors, quality genetics!
