Hey guys! I've had chickens since I was maybe 8, and absolutely love it! I have had a couple older chickens die this winter, so I jumped on the offer when a friend told me about some chickens that were being given up by the owner for free. I ended up getting eight pretty young hens from him(I was told he got them this past fall, I assume as pullets not chicks), which was awesome as I needed some younger layers. They are super sweet girls, and I can't wait until spring so they can explore their new home properly. We used to completely free range our chickens over our entire property until this past summer when we enclosed a large section for them, so that they would be more safe from a neighbors dog, and we had also just gotten a deck installed that they loved to mess up.
Anyway, the whole point of this is that I'm curious to know what breeds my new girls are. I'm guessing I have some Plymouth Rocks, and then maybe an Amberlink? I have three of the Plymouth Rocks(?), one Amberlink(?), two black, and two of the lovely coppery gold girls. If you need more pictures just let me know, I took these ones pretty quickly and just had my little brother hold them(he's adorable btw, and is insisting that these are his chickens.)
