What can chicks eat? (I mean less than a month old)

I just read the CHICKEN TREATS page and that is a great list but
I couldn't find anything about Chicks. It all seemed to be directed
at full grown chickens.

You are not suppose to feed chicks treats untile they are older. I am not sure the exact age, maybe someone else will speak up. My chicks are almost 8 weeks old and I still haven't gave them anything.

Personally I give week old chicks a lil scratch and other chopped grains of course with grit, it helps to develop the gizzard..Baby chicks free ranging eats whatever the adults eat, just smaller peices..barnyard, Have you been to Mr Joiners or Mr grubbs, between them both they have about 3000 OEGB'S..They both live in Edison

I hard boiled some eggs and smashed up the yolk. I only fed them the yolk, mind you and not all of it! It's not good for them to have to much. I put it on a plate and they had a ball!

I did this when they were a week old.
