What can I do to prevent the basic chicken problems like lice etc.

What things can I do to prevent my chickens from getting the basic chicken diseases and problems? I keep the chicken coop and water cleaned and change the straw, but are there supplements,or preventative things I should be doing, especially for mites/lice?

Not sure of the brand name, but i wash my coops out every now & then with the lice/mite treatments. The spray kind. They sell it at the feed store. Also, i clean my coops with bleach water.

yikes they could get lice and mites? I never knew that would keeping the chickens inside the house work?

I just recently discovered that they get lice/mites too. I mustve been dead to the chicken world. Two of my roosters (special needs) had it & ive been treating them all ever since.
