what can i do with my chickens while i am on vaction?

I am going on vacation for 2 weeks and I don't know if I should leave my 6 and a half week old chicks in my coop and have friends of mine who have lots of chickens take shifts of every day making sure my girls have every thing they need or let my friend take them in one of his spare coops?

It's a TON easier to have your chickens moved into a spare coop, that way they have care all day, everyday.

I'd ask someone who doesn't have chickens personally.. Diseases can be transmitted.

If they are not free ranged, and have a very safe coop and run - they can be checked on every other day to ensure water and food is not toppled over or dirty.

But I would have someone check on them for sure.

It's hard to find good help. Especially when you have a large flock like I do.

well i only have three in my flock and my friend has had years of raising chickens, turkeys and quails.
