Last summer I let my small flock range and they did very well! They were only juveniles then. They started laying Thanksgiving day, and have laid consistently all winter. IF the snow ever melts and I let them out, will they lay in their nest box or hide their eggs? They lay about 9:30 each morning. Wait to let the out or will they hang around?

They should use your enclosure for a house now. They will lay there, and come back to roost every night. Good luck!

That's good to know! I like to let them out early-they look so pretty and happy running around
the garden! Who wants to be cooped up? (no pun intended!). But, I REALLY enjoy those eggs!
