What Can I Feed Chicks & Hens For A Treat?

So far they LOVE watermelon, HATE cantaloupe.

What other treats are healthy for chickens that I can introduce them to?

Also, what foods are poisonous for chickens? [Like, grapes are bad for dogs etc]

I've given them lettuce, which wasn't a big hit. I then tried some dried meal worms. Holy cow, they love them!

I bought mine at a feed store and they were kind of pricey. I've read on BYC to check pet stores where they might be more affordable.

Not all my hens like the same things. My silkies love fresh corn on the cob but my n.n dont really. They like watermelon. My australorps love bread but dont like fruits for some odd reason. My EE's I give them peaches and strawberries.

I guess you just have to experiment and see what they like. My roos go crazy for peaches and noodles

Mine love snails most of all. It is the only food the fight over, but they eat lots of things.
