What Can I Use (I Can't Aford A Heat Lamp) To Keep My Baby Chicks Warm?

Cardboard box a light bulb. I use 60 watt works well.. only at one end Newspaper in the bottom New they need to be 95-99 degrees to do well and not die
Make sure you have room enough in the box for them to get away from the heat.

If you cant afford a bell shaped metal shop fixure with the clamp to hold the bulb (Small are about $10) you can take apart an old lamp attach it to the box in some safe way or maybe you have a shop light around the house
.HOw old are they?
They should have Chick Starter Crumbles to eat and water for sure in a low bowl
I cut out the bottom of a plastic yogurt or butter container less than an inch high Too high they may drowned them self if they have too much water in with them and they are new.I also put glass beads in the water for a few days to keep them from drowning.
Good luck !
