I'm all about reusing and recycling. Would it be safe to use a old piece of linoleum under the roost for easy cleaning? And any ideas of what I could use an old plastic kid slide for?

My thought exactly, that would be hilariousI have visions of the chickens sliding down from the roost in the morning but I don't think that is likely.![]()
I think the linoleum would be fine under the roost. I would sprinkle it with PDZ to keep the poo from sticking to it. I would try to fashion a stairway leading to/from the coop by attaching strips of wood or PVC horizontally so they can get a grip and not slide back down. I wanted to do that with my metal slide but was afraid it would get too hot in the direct sun and burn their little feet.I'm all about reusing and recycling.
