What causes a mini egg?

I am on my third mini egg in the last month. I cracked one open and there was no yolk in it. What is up with that?

We all just call them "Fart Eggs". Just one of those things that happens. Normally doesn't happen very often, but I had one hen that popped one once a week for 6 weeks. Then she stopped and went on with laying her regular eggs.

It could be the first eggs from your pullet/hen....They will gradually get bigger in size...

I'm keepin that one. Seems everytime I get excited that the hens have started laying we get one of those. It freaks the girls (my daughters ) out. Watch out- eventually you will get one with a almost clear shell.

Be patient, don't forget the oyster shells, and think of it as a science experiment!!!!
