I don’t think there’s anything you can do to prevent it. If I remember correctly, you’re less likely to find these in store bought eggs because they’re candled to remove eggs with imperfections like meat spots. But really, they’re naturally occuring - it just looks “gross” to us because if you grew up eating store bought eggs (like me!), you’re not used to seeing them.Yes, DH says it's a meat spot. How can you stop that from happening ? or can you? It looks bad and we like to give our eggs away.
I usually scoop it out with a spoon because…I just can’t. lol I know what you mean about giving the eggs away, and people finding them but it’s just part of the fresh egg experience, I suppose!
