What causes SID in chicks???

:hugs Possibly didn't develop properly, hence having some internal issues. If you incubated, it could be temp/humidity or it's develeopment, You could do a necropsy but it's Nature, we try our best but sometimes our best isn't enough. :hugs Sorry you lost your chick.
 
Broody hen hatched them,I took them to my brooder (she was a first-timer)...5 healthy,the one chick passed away the minute I put her in the brooder. .completely healthy otherwise...never seen that happen before.
