What causes silkie to lay 3 eggs at once?

Im confused about something. I get the odd day where my silkie, she is 2 years old, lays 3 eggs or 2 eggs and she does this in a single sitting. Is this normal?

Thats very odd. I don't think she lays 3 eggs a day. Possibly 2, if she lays once in the moring and once at night. But not 3.

I dont see other birds going into her box, she isnt even a beautiful bird. Kind of ugly actually. Now Im going to be over run with ugly babies.
