What causes this?

My RIR laid her first egg a few days ago and an egg today. Both eggs have a veiny or cracked look to them on the end and it seems brittle there. My Isa Brown and OEG are laying perfect eggs. What is going on with my RIR? And are the eggs safe to eat?

Abnormalities in the eggshell occur, usually infrequently but are more common with new layers.
