Are you planning a small flock, or a bigger one? That may make a difference when it comes to how they all get along. I personally have a small flock, only five girls in total. At the beginning of September, I purchased four babies: a buff Orpington, an Easter Egger, a brown sex link and a Delaware (that was supposed to be a another brown sex link but was apparently put in the wrong pen). The four were introduced to my older (now three years old) Orpington around mid-October and while the younger were quite wary of the older at first, they get along well now. If yours are all the same age, you won't have to deal with introduction issues. Good luck, and enjoy your new friends!
