I also thought it said batman!

To the op, i think you should go with standard size hens, because LF roos can tear up bantam hens (it's usually the younger roos that hurt them because they're so rough, but it can still happen with an older, more mature roo).

well i saw my so called "roo" being mated with yesterday... im not so sure its a roo anymore. Anywho.. i still cant decide!!!! Sebrights or laced wyandottes?what to do.. what to do. And goign by 4 square feet perbird.. i like the amount of 10 chickens. or a few more batnams...

i would not put a standard rooster with bantam hens, though it might work if its a small standard and large bantams. bantam egg production is often the same as they're standard counterparts for that breed, they're eggs are just smaller, but they do eat less so it evens out. The ornamental breeds (old english game, japanese, sebright) almost never lay many eggs, they also tend to be smaller and more sensitive to conditions, like cold. However bantam varieties of old school dual purpose breeds (wyandottes, rhode island reds etc.) are typically larger than the ornamentals and tougher too, they're egg production as a general rule will about the same as the standards just with smaller eggs.

Im thinking ill get wyandottes. Only because of my rooster, but i really dont want him anymore. He used to be nice but after i got rid of the other chickens he has become jerk! He come after me with one wing down and makes those "chicken swear words" I dont like him

But poor shelly would be all alone. I dont know what to do!!!!!!!!!!! He isnt that big, but then again he is only 5-6 months old. She is SO tiny!! I think she is a batnam. ... (NOT BATMAN) He is an EE mix.

I have 5 bantams and 7 regular or large breed chickens they all seem to do fine with each other. They were not all raised together. 2 of my bantams were just added to my flock 2 weeks ago and they were combined without any issues or problems. I say raise both and have the best of both worlds! And besides a few bantams make chicken math sense!
