I'm not sure if my rouens are laying...I have found some eggs that look it my muscovy eggs, but smaller. I have also found couple eggs by the pond that look like my easter egg chickens in color, but have the outer feel of a duck egg. Just wondering if any of these eggs could be rouen eggs:idunno

The eggs you found by the pond are likely to be rouen eggs, it is very common to get colored eggs from ducks. For example my welsh harlequins all lay white eggs except for one hen that lays a very green egg. I find that duck eggs are not as waxy as muscovies but waxier than chickens. Hope this helps

My Rouen lays white eggs. Hubby asked if I was sure that was a duck egg, I told him that since I found it in the secure enclosed duck pen, it had to be a duck egg.
