What color are these silkies?

I got them today and it was raining the guy said they were blue but they look black and yes I do know they are pet quality

if you need better pics I can provide them for you but like I said it was raining and they got wet thanks for your help

they are not blue. They might be a mix of blue and partridge, but definately not pure blue. Sorry!

The middle one looks like a silver or grey (depends on who your asking) hen. The other two seem to be a mixed blue like someone else said already.

So if I hatch eggs from them will they still be the same color?

There's no telling what you will get out of them since they are mixed. But its likely that you will get some dark birds. I wouldnt even buy these if I was you. Giving my honest opinion they are not that great looking . I hardly see any feathers on the legs. The lobes look chalky, and the body isnt that round on the hen. Breeding these birds wouldnt do the breed any help.

My birds never look as good in photos as they do in person. As long as they're healthy and have good temperment- like silkies usually do- why not. Keep them as pets & broodies, and get some fresh eggs. I think they're cute. Kinda like those "tribbles" from that Star Trek episode. (Yes- I am old enough to remember that)

 

[Sonoran Silkies]

Top one is a dark & sunburned blue. Middle photo is a grey. Bottom photo is a sunburned dark blue or possibly chocolate. Both the first and last photos do seem to have brown in the feathers.
